The Virginia Fusion Center’s SHIELD Program is collaborating with the FB-ISAO to educate participants on the Hostile Events Attack Cycle and challenge them to consider their preparedness and ability to respond to an enduring threat challenge facing all organizations – to include places of worship and charities.

Objectives include:

• Provide a three-day forum for faith-based and charity organizations to enhance their threat awareness and preparedness relating to potential physical attacks at their facilities.

• Use a hostile events scenario to provide participants an opportunity to interact with one another and discuss issues, concerns, best practices and other salient points regarding physical security preparedness, coordination and response among participants.

• Use a hostile events scenario to provide participants with greater awareness of U.S. Government and local government resources, guidance and best practices relating to hostile events and physical security to help inform organizational preparedness, security & resilience.

Dates - Participant must be able to attend all sessions for their chosen week.

  • FB-ISAO will be recording the sessions for the purpose of creating post workshop reports. Recording will NOT be publicly released. By joining the session, attendees are agreeing to be recorded
  • Attendees are expected to have their cameras on for this training as this is an interactive workshop. Guidelines for participation will be discussed at the on-set of the meeting. Due to time constraints, it is possible that not everyone is able to participate in the discussion
  • Attendees are not allowed to take photos or video of the sessions
  • When registering for the sessions, registrants must use First Name, Last Name and Faith Based Organization affiliation to register. The first name and last name must match the Zoom login in order for registrants to be allowed into the session
  • Each registrant will get a unique link to join. Links cannot be shared. Registrants may share registration information ONLY
